Project Background

After 15 years of operation, the equipment of a certain sewage treatment plant has aged. It has been decided to upgrade and integrate the automatic control equipment of Phases 1, 2 and 3 of the plant. Through measures such as replacing the aging equipment, unifying the system brand and software platform, and optimizing the central control room, the degree of automation will be enhanced, the labor intensity reduced, and the operation rate increased.

Solution

To enhance performance, a Siemens S7-1500/1200 controller was adopted to replace the Beckhoff PLC, which includes 800 points. Carry out cabinet renovation, wiring and equipment installation, connect the instruments to the central control system, and optimize the control by using Botu programming. The upper computer is divided into two parts: local (Siemens Wincc) and remote (Cloud 0 platform), to achieve full monitoring of the process and reduce the workload of personnel.

Project highlights

During the project renovation period, production will not be affected. It is equipped with dual platforms of Wincc and iot, an upper computer, and 3D customized and UI designed interfaces. It is also equipped with precise alarm information and can generate various reports. Multiple monitoring terminals ensure that data is not lost, and it can also conduct power consumption analysis.
